AOH, Division 2, Newtown, PA 2025 Scholarships Winners

Congratulations to our 2025 winners!

Grace Burns

Kylie Allen

Kylie Allen, a St. Joseph/St. Robert Catholic school student, will attend Archbishop Wood High School in the fall of 2025. She has participated in many diverse activities, such as the Robotics Club, Drama Club, Choir, Service Corps, Reading Olympics, and ASL Club, and sports such as volleyball, flag football, and track and field. She has received multiple awards, such as the CYO Volleyball Sportsmanship Award and the St. Joseph/St. Robert’s Patron Award for Welcoming. Kylie is grateful to be awarded the AOH scholarship. She wrote the essay with passion and with her family on her mind. She holds dual citizenship and visits her grandfather and extended family in Cork, Ireland, annually. Kylie Allen was baptized in St. Brigid’s Catholic Church in Crosshaven, County Cork, which, ironically enough, is also the saint she chose as her Confirmation name. Kylie Allen chose this saint not only because of her special bond with the church but also due to St. Brigid being the only female patron saint of Ireland. She holds a close bond with St. Patrick’s Day due to it also to being her birthday.

I am so very grateful to the Ancient Order of Hibernians for this scholarship. Not only does it make me feel close to my Irish Heritage but it makes me appreciate all of those who are helping young people like me to fulfill my dreams. I look forward to attending Villa Joseph Marie for high school.
